Judie Stephens addressed the club on October 8 on her adventures with the 2012 centenary Veteran Car Expedition from Perth to Sydney”. The expedition began on March 16, fromPerth, bound for Sydney, travelling 4100km in 20 days. The expedition involved steam and electric cars and bikes of just one or two cylinders, all around 100 years old. The meeting concluded with the usual card jackpot draw that saw club veteran Angelo Raveane’s ticket drawn for the right to pick one of just nine remaining cards for a prize of $900. Much to the delight of those present, Angelo missed the joker, which means that there are now only eight cards remaining for a jackpot prize of $920 on Monday.
